Baltic Sea Programme 2007–2013

The European Union finances the territorial development actions between countries with Structural Funds. The Baltic Sea Programme finances the co-operation on territorial development between the Baltic Sea countries and Norway, Russia and Belarus. The goal is to make the Baltic region more cohesive and competitive.

The Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Education and Culture have granted national financing for the projects. The Ministry of Employment and the Economy coordinates the financing in Finland. The financing scheme has welcomed applications from public corporations and non-profit organisations.
