Specialized plans for management and use are a prerequisite for the conservation of biological values in an area. Management plans also enable combining recreational use with nature conservation. In the planning stage of management and use, further funding was also determined, as well as the parties responsible for management after the project has ended.
During the project, management plans were prepared for the following areas: Medvastö-Stormossen, Saltfjärden-Tavastfjärden bird waters, Porvoonjoki delta-Stensböle, the marine conservation areas is the Pernajanlahti bays and in the Pernaja archipelago, Pyhäjärvi, Salminlahti, Kirkkojärvi, Pappilansaari-Lupinlahti and Kirkon-Vilkkiläntura.
Appropriate management plans were already effective for the Laajalahti bird water and the Tuusulanjärvi bird water areas before the project.
